2019's best customer service belongs to a government run institution. How great is that? Yes this is some survey of a small number of people so how can one claim "best customer service", but it is telling. Vinmonopolet is fantastic and I am grateful for it ( Oh yes Norway! 🥳) . It's not that I am after great customer service, I am happy that people can just leave me alone as I eye the various bottles. But it's the vast selection of quality booze. I hate the drink to get drunk culture, but love to drink fine beverages for enjoyment and the right occasion. Vinmonopolet fully embodies this philosophy. It supplies affordable high quality drinks for the occasional drinker, while burning the pockets of those who want to drink themselves to the stone age. It is so much easier to find quality wine and beer in any Vinmonopolet shop than other more liberal countries with more complex drinking cultures like England or Cyprus.
